Little Lila is little no more

Little Lila’s growing makes her mommy’s heart so pleasantly sore

Little Lila still refuses to bath

Yet wakes her mommy each morning with a laugh

Little Lila so small yet so wise

She teaches her mom to see the world through her curious eyes

Little Lila loves her morning walks

During this time we have our talks

Little Lila is truly my best friend

And has taught me everything I need to know about zen

I have never experienced such a teacher as her

And feel like this half a year is a blur

A blur of exhausted mommy and sleepless nights

The reality of motherhood sometimes bites

Never have I quite learnt what yoga means

Till Little Lila pushed me from my comfort it seems

Confronted with my ego and “the perfect mom vibe”

Little Lila taught her mommy life is about being unapologetically you and finding your tribe

Little Lila continues to grow

And in doing so puts up quite the show

Little Lila reminded her mommy today

Life is so very short, so come mommy, lets play

Little Lila so little yet little no more

Little Lila my daughter who I will forever adore
